If you indicate that you are interested in receiving information from third-party affiliates and sponsors via the Join the Newsletter form, we will let them know your interest, however, we will not provide your first and last name and email address directly to them.  Instead, your information will be aggregated with others who have signed up for the newsletter, and then you will receive the sponsor or third-party affiliate’s information via Extending Reach, LLC.

Non-personally identifiable information.  We aggregate and/or anonymize information collected through the Site so that the information does not identify you.  We may use this non-personally identifiable information or Pseudonymous Data for any purpose, including for research and marketing purposes.  We may also monitor Anonymous Data or aggregate metrics such as total number of visitors, traffic, and demographic patterns.  We use location data to help us customize the Site with location-based information and features. Law enforcement.  Extending Reach, LLC may disclose your personal information if required to do so by law or subpoena, or if we believe that it is reasonably necessary to comply with a law, regulation or legal request; to protect the safety of any person; to address fraud, security or technical issues; or to protect Extending Reach, LLC’s rights or property.

Marketing information.  When you Join the Newsletter, you will receive marketing information from us on newly released articles, tips, and other business developments.  We may also combine information we learn about you from third party sources or publicly available sources to customize content we send.

Cookies and Similar Tracking Technologies

We use cookies (small text files placed on your device) and similar tracking technologies to store your preferences and settings.

Participate in polls.  We enable Users to answer questions and view poll results.  Once answered, Users are unable to participate in the same poll while their session cookie is active. Newsletters may include clear GIFs in HTML-based emails. Subscribers can request newsletters in HTML or in text format.  To ensure our emails reach our subscribers, we may send newsletter subscribers clear GIFs to determine whether the message has been opened.

How to Access, Update, Delete, and Control Your Data

You may:

  • Visit the “Manage consent” link at the bottom of every webpage to change your cookie settings for the Site.
  • Opt out of receiving our newsletter(s) by visiting our Join the Newsletter page.
  • Change your newsletter options by visiting our Join the Newsletter page and selecting the newsletter(s) you wish to unsubscribe from, and then complete the Join the Newsletter form again to subscribe to newsletter(s) that are of interest or to update your Personal Data.

Articles.  Contact us at [email protected] to remove article(s) with your Personal Data.  While we can remove your article from our Site, we cannot guarantee the article has been removed from other devices connected to the worldwide web.  If you submit an article for publication on the Site without your name and biography posted, the communications regarding the posting are considered Personal Data, but the article itself is not.  You may receive a copy of communications regarding your article, but we may retain a copy to satisfy other business or legal obligations.

Sending requests:  If you send a request to [email protected], you’ll need to provide your first and last name, email address used for the form(s) and/or other communications with us, and identify the newsletter(s) you wish to unsubscribe from since there may be more than one type you are receiving.

Cookies and similar technologies. Most browsers allow you to refuse to accept cookies and delete cookies. The methods for doing this vary from browser to browser, and from version to version. Extending Reach, LLC strives to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Data, but we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Transfer of Data

Your Personal Data may be transferred to – and maintained on – computers located outside of your state, province, country, or other governmental jurisdiction where our data protection laws may differ from your jurisdiction. If you are located outside of the United States and choose to provide information to us, please note that your data, including Personal Data, may be transferred to the United States and processed there.  Our Site is hosted by GoDaddy. Children’s Privacy

Protecting the privacy of young children is especially important to us. Extending Reach, LLC does not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from anyone under the age of 13 or knowingly allow such persons to subscribe to our e-newsletter.  If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under the age of 13, we will take steps to remove that information.  See our Terms of Use Agreement for more information.

Information Shared with Third-Parties

We do not sell your Personal Data.  In order to improve and optimize our Site, we may share your Personal Data with trusted third-party service providers to perform services on our behalf, such as:

  • Information shared with social media services so that Users can share our content with their friends and networks
  • Performing Site analysis to help us understand visitor usage and demographics, thereby helping us improve services, content, and performance

We have taken necessary precautions to be in compliance with the California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).  We do not share or sell your Personal Data with third-parties for the third-parties’ own and independent direct marketing purposes unless we receive your permission.  We encourage you to visit the Join the Newsletter page to manage e-newsletters you wish to receive or unsubscribe from at any time.  You may also contact us at [email protected] or at the mailing address below with any questions regarding accessing, updating, and deleting Personal Data.

Business Transactions

As we develop our business, we may be involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale.   Customer name, email, and visitor information is generally one of the transferred business assets in these types of transactions.  We may also transfer or assign such information in the course of corporate divestitures or dissolution. Notification

We will contact you via the email address you provided on your completed Join the Newsletter  form to distribute updates on policies, security breaches, and other company information in lieu of communication by postal mail.  If you corresponded with us via our Contact Us form, we may use the email address you provided for notification regarding pertinent business operations or legal obligations.

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
